Mission
"...to promote Michigan's West Coast as the premier venue for hosting a diverse level of youth and amateur sporting events, enhancing the economy and quality of life in the region."
WMSC Website Goes Live!
The West Michigan Sports Commission website: www.westmichigansportscommission.com, was launched during the 1st Annual West Michigan Sports Commission Luncheon to provide a resource to both sports events organizers and the community.

The primary goals of the website are to act as a sales tool towards prospective events considering our area and to invite the regional community to become a part of what the commission is doing in the promotion of sports tourism to youth and amateur events. At the very first glance, visitors are greeted by many of the exciting events that our area has played host to through a colorful pictorial slide display.

Sports event organizers can navigate the main menu bar to find out about our abundant resource of first class facilities/locales as it relates to their specific sport. They are also able to identify the dynamic atmosphere and enthusiasm our community represents through sports; from local media interest to our high school, college and professional sports teams and the assistance we will offer to ensure a successful event in West Michigan.

Our local community will be able to see the work the commission is doing through the events that are confirmed through the calendar listing available. They will also be able to sign up as a volunteer for specific events or by simply submitting their name and area of interest as many more events are confirmed. Individuals, local sports clubs and area companies are welcomed to join the WMSC as a 'Team Player' to support the efforts of the WMSC and become connected even further with all that is happening with the commission. Lastly, members of the community are able to suggest a state, regional or national tournament that our area might host by providing key specifics and contact information online.

The WMSC website remains a work in progress and we will continue to add and change the information contained to best represent our area as a premier venue for hosting youth and amateur sporting events. We welcome you to continue to visit the website and provide your feedback and suggestions.
