New Improvements for
WestMichiganSportsCommission.com

The West Michigan Sports Commission (WMSC) website has seen improvement with the additions of a new state of the art volunteer system, merchandise page and an enhanced events schedule.

The WMSC volunteer system will allow administrators to enter events that have requested volunteer assistance and add specific jobs to those events. Jobs can be broken down to number of individuals needed, amount of hours for that specific job and will allow volunteers to comment on the task. The system has an announcement section where WMSC staff can communicate pertinent information (i.e. extreme weather situations, change in venue, etc...) to all volunteers using a message board or by email with one click of a button. Also, reports can be generated and printed that will give event director's a hard copy of assignments for a volunteer check-in table or for their files.

A new merchandise page allows the WMSC the opportunity to sell logo gear via the website. This page is equipped with a shopping cart as well as paypal allowing buyers to shop for more than one item and pay with all major credit cards.

The improved events schedule will now showcase logos; event website, volunteer and area information links as well as the event dates.
