National Association of Sports Commission - Annual Event Symposium
NASC Logo

The National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) is holding its annual sports event symposium in Omaha, Nebraska from April 21st to April 25th. The WMSC plans on attending and partnering with other Michigan communities (Detroit, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Lansing, and the Saginaw Valley Area) in a collaborative effort to promote Michigan to the sports event industry. This symposium is attended by organizations that attract sporting events to their communities (i.e. sports commissions and convention and visitors bureaus), events owners, vendors and suppliers. The NASC is the primary network for communication and information sharing on all topics relating to the sports event industry. The NASC represents over 425 organizations from more than 300 cities across the country.

This symposium will allow the WMSC to "see and be seen" by other players in the sports event industry. It is a prime opportunity for the WMSC to keep up to date with what is happening in the sports event industry, meet face to face with key players in the sports event industry, and to increase our exposure through participation in the symposium. Produced annually by the NASC, the NASC Sports Event Symposium is the single most important sports event conference for industry professionals.
