U.S. Airborne "Born to Fly" Gymnastics Invitational to Have International Draw
Gymnast

The U.S. Airborne Gymnastics Invitational will be held March 1-2, 2008 in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center at Cornerstone University. The Invitational will feature gymnastic clubs from all over the state of Michigan as well as Ohio, Illinois and even the country of Canada! The meet will be sanctioned by USA Gymnastics and feature athletes competing in levels 4-10. Also included is a "fun" meet that will not be sanctioned for levels 2-5.

The Invitational has enjoyed success in the past with an annual attendance of over 1,500 people and 500 athletes. This year the Invitational looks to expand their efforts and increase both attendance and participants because of 2008 being an Olympic year and women's gymnastics being one of the most watched sports.

In 2007, the U.S. Airborne gymnasts were awarded a National Championship at level 9 in the Women's all-around; first place at the Boy's level 5 State Championships and a TOPS National Qualifier. Many of the U.S. Airborne athletes have received numerous awards and accomplishments including several full ride athletic scholarships to the University of Maryland, Western Michigan University and Michigan State University.
