John Beilein became the 16th men's basketball coach at the University of Michigan on April 3,2007. Considered to be one of the best tactical basketball minds in the country, Beilein has won 561 career games and is among the top 20 in victories among active Division I head coaches. The 2007-08 season marked Beilein's 30th year as a collegiate coach and he is the only active coach in the collegiate ranks to record a 20-win season at four different levels -- junior college, NAIA, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division I.
